Privacy & Cookies
Effective date: October 14, 2026
The True Freedom Project is an educational initiative based in Wisconsin, United States. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the people operating the initiative under The True Freedom Project name. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to hello@truefreedomproject.com.
This policy explains how we handle information associated with this website and correspondence with the project. The current website has no user accounts, contact forms, newsletter subscriptions, on-site payments, or donation collection. The podcast section is a coming-soon page, not an embedded media player.
Information you provide
When you email us, we receive your email address, any name or contact details you include, your message, attachments, and related correspondence. If a conversation continues by telephone or another agreed channel, we may also retain information you provide in that conversation.
You decide what to tell us. Please keep an initial inquiry brief and do not send medical records, identification documents, financial account details, passwords, or other highly sensitive information. If you voluntarily describe health, personal, or family circumstances, that information becomes part of the correspondence we receive. Please do not disclose another person’s private information without appropriate permission.
Technical information, cookies, and website providers
Website, hosting, domain, and delivery providers may process technical information when your device connects to the site. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring website, timestamps, approximate location, and technical or security logs. These connections are part of delivering and protecting the website, even when you do not contact us.
Our website and domain services involve Lovable and Squarespace. Lovable’s built-in visitor analytics can provide overall traffic information, such as visits, page views, referral sources, device types, and country-level location. We use available website statistics to understand site use and improve the information we provide. We do not combine those statistics with your emails to create personal advertising profiles.
The site also loads Google Fonts from Google’s servers. Your browser connects directly to Google to obtain the font files, which provides Google with connection information, including your IP address and request details. Google’s privacy information describes its handling of information received through its services.
We have not added Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site advertising trackers to the current website. Infrastructure providers may use operational cookies or similar technologies for delivery and security functions. Website statistics and technical logs can also be generated without cookies.
You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. This may affect website functions and does not prevent every technical connection, server log, or font request. The current website does not have a separate response to browser “Do Not Track” settings. Where a privacy law that applies to us requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, we will honor that requirement. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we use information
We use correspondence to respond to inquiries, continue conversations you request, consider collaboration or contributions, and arrange introductions or referrals you approve. We also use information as reasonably needed to administer the project, maintain relevant records, investigate misuse or technical problems, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Emailing us does not subscribe you to a mailing list. We do not currently operate an email newsletter.
Sending us a story or message does not give us permission to publish it, identify you publicly, or use it as a testimonial. We will obtain separate permission before doing that.
Access and sharing
Authorized project team members may access information when assisting with correspondence, administration, or the operation of the project. The mailbox is not limited to one individual. Microsoft 365 provides our email service and processes and stores messages as part of providing that service. Website, domain, security, and other technical providers process information associated with the functions they supply.
Before making a referral or sharing your correspondence with another initiative or organization for that purpose, we will speak with you and obtain your permission about the recipient and the information to be shared. Contacting us is not, by itself, permission to make a referral. You may withdraw that permission before the sharing takes place by contacting us.
We may disclose information where required by law or valid legal process, or where law permits and disclosure is reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, serious threats to safety, or legal claims. These limited circumstances and routine service-provider processing are separate from referrals.
We do not sell or rent our correspondence or contact details, and we do not provide them to other initiatives for their independent marketing.
Retention
We do not apply a fixed automatic deletion schedule to ordinary email correspondence. How long information is retained depends on the reason for the contact, whether a conversation or requested action remains open, the relevance of the record to the project’s activities, and applicable legal, security, or dispute-resolution needs. Retention must remain connected to those purposes rather than an unrestricted right to keep information indefinitely.
You may ask us to delete information using the contact address below. We will consider the request and fulfill any applicable legal requirements. Some information may need to be retained for a lawful reason. Copies in backups or service-provider systems may remain until their applicable deletion or replacement cycles, subject to legal requirements.
Security and sensitive correspondence
Our website and email use third-party services with their own security and access controls. No website, email service, or method of storage can guarantee complete security. Ordinary email is not an appropriate channel for confidential medical records or urgent requests for help.
Correspondence with the project does not establish a clinical relationship or a legally privileged professional communication. This does not remove any privacy protections that apply to your information.
Your choices and requests
You may contact hello@truefreedomproject.com to ask about information we hold about you, request access or a copy, correct information, request deletion, or ask us to stop a particular use or further contact. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent, use an authorized representative, or appeal a decision about a request.
We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or a representative’s authority. We will respond as required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation or refusal. You can ask us to reconsider a response through the same email address and may contact the relevant privacy regulator. We do not require an account to make a request.
Adults and international visitors
The website is intended for adults aged 18 and over, primarily in the United States. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it and delete it where required.
We operate from the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ. This policy does not waive any privacy rights that apply to you or replace any safeguards required by law.
Other websites and policy changes
Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This policy describes our handling of information, not the independent practices of those services.
We will update this policy when our information practices change and show the updated date on this page. Materially different uses of previously collected information will receive any additional notice or consent required by law; simply updating this page is not a substitute for that consent.
